Information we collect

Depending on how you use Home Refresh, we may process:

• Account information: your email address and display name when you sign in.
• Home Refresh content: room names, tasks, schedules, routines, maintenance reminders, completion history, reminder preferences, and household assignments.
• Household-sharing information: an invited person’s name and, for an email invitation, their email address. A phone number entered for a text invitation is used on your device to open your messaging app and is not stored by Home Refresh.
• Device information: app-install state, notification permission, locally saved preferences, and technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Home Refresh does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Home Refresh.
• Save and synchronize rooms, tasks, routines, reminders, and progress across signed-in devices.
• Enable household invitations, assigned-task views, and completion updates.
• Deliver reminders and notifications you choose to enable.
• Respond to support, privacy, and security requests.
• Prevent misuse and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Household sharing

Household owners can invite members and assign tasks. Members receive a restricted view of tasks assigned to them and may mark those tasks complete. Owners can see household membership and shared completion activity. Invitation links expire after seven days and should be shared only with the intended person.

Local storage, syncing, and notifications

Home Refresh may save a copy of app data in your browser or installed web app so the service remains useful on that device. When you sign in, eligible household data is also stored online for syncing. Notifications are optional and require device or browser permission. You can disable them through Home Refresh or your device settings.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers for authentication, hosting, storage, security, and technical operations. These providers process information only to deliver their services to us and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while it is needed to provide Home Refresh, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Household owners can remove members in the app. To request access, correction, or deletion of your Home Refresh account data, email support@cedarvail.comfrom the email associated with your account. We may need to verify the request.

Removing the app or clearing browser storage deletes the local device copy but does not automatically delete synchronized account data.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your sign-in account and avoid sharing household invitation links publicly.

Children’s privacy

Home Refresh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to appeal a privacy decision. Submit requests to the contact address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Home Refresh changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
